About Chris ...

A contemporary multimedia artist based in Southwest Montana, Chris typically begins a canvas painting with a bright color which unifies the piece and gives it a sense of excitement. This brings everyday subject matter to life. She then layers on color with thin glazes but also incorporates thicker impasto-like swaths which accent the piece, flirting with the abstract. In her watercolor paintings she uses glowing transparent pigments that elevate her naturalistic emphasis, bringing life's simple pleasures to a higher level.

There is something so calming and meditative about being out in nature for me and I endeavor to share some of that personal experience with you through my work. I find inspiration from the beauty of all that surrounds me. My hope is that you find as much joy in my creations as I have had in making them. ~ Chris Sitton

As a fine art painter I communicate my personal perspective and innermost emotions through the medium of paint, transforming blank canvases into works that speak to my soul. With each brushstroke, I embark on a journey of self exploration, diving deep into realms of color, texture, and form to create pieces that not only reflect my world, but also to challenge perceptions.

I see the extraordinary in the ordinary, capturing moments of beauty in the everyday and inviting you to view life through my eyes. Whether working in studio or en plein air, I am continually evolving and pushing the boundaries of my art. Through my unique view as a creator, and a storyteller, I hope to contribute to our shared cultural tapestry, offering my experiences to hopefully inspire a different way of looking at things.
